- Mix the chopped fruit, nuts, and wafer crumbs together in a bowl.
- Beat eggs in a separate bowl, then add sugar and evaporated milk, mixing well.
- Combine the egg mixture with the fruit, nut, and wafer mixture.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Let the mixture stand while preparing a pan lined with waxed paper.
- Pack the mixture into the prepared pan and decorate the top with the reserved fruit and nuts.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for one hour.
- Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool.
- Store the cake in a tight container.
