Instructions
- Soak gelatine in 1/2 cup cold water; add to beaten egg yolks and sugar.
- Cook in double boiler until thick and smooth; cool. Add pineapple and nuts.
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Crush wafers with rolling pin.
- Place a layer of crumbs in a well-greased loaf pan.
- Pour over a layer of filling.
- Repeat, making 5 layers.
- Let stand overnight in refrigerator.
- Serves 12.
