Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen prepared bread dough, thawed
  • 3 plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 small bunch fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 small red onion, cut in thin wedges
  • 2 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher or table salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Roll bread dough into a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch rectangle.
  3. Place the dough in a jelly roll pan.
  4. Using fingertips, firmly press into the dough at 1-inch intervals.
  5. Arrange tomato slices, fresh sage leaves, and onion wedges on top of the dough.
  6. Sprinkle olive or vegetable oil over the vegetables.
  7. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until browned and crisp.
