Ingredients

  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • 2 2/3 c. self-rising flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips (12 oz. if you omit the nuts)

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine and brown sugar.
  2. Add eggs, then flour until smooth.
  3. Then add chocolate chips and nuts (optional).
  4. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes in a lightly greased 8 x 12-inch baking dish. Let cool, then slice into squares.
