Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 pound pork
  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 1 package frozen peas
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • pinch black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • pinch of Accent (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice and cook in 3 cups water until tender.
  2. Chop the small onion.
  3. In a frypan containing 1 tablespoon oil, cook the chopped onion until fragrant.
  4. Place small pieces of pork in the oil and season with salt, pepper, and sugar.
  5. Fry the pork for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan.
  6. Cook the shrimp in the same pan for 5 minutes, then remove.
  7. Cook the frozen peas separately until heated through.
  8. In another skillet, fry the cooked rice in 1 tablespoon oil until hot and slightly crispy.
  9. Add the cooked pork, shrimp, and peas to the fried rice.
  10. Cook together on medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  11. Optional: add a pinch of Accent or a few drops of food coloring for color enhancement.
