Instructions
- Combine all dry ingredients except apples in a bowl.
- Place 1/2 of the sliced apples in a deep dish pie plate or casserole dish.
- Sprinkle with half of the sugar mixture.
- Add the remaining apples on top.
- Sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture.
- Dot the apples with butter.
- Cover with top crust and dot with butter.
- Make slits in the crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake at 425°F for 40 to 50 minutes.
