Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup dry milk
  • 2 cups warm water or warm skim milk
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. Knead all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Let the dough rise for 45 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Bake the biscuits until they are golden and cooked through.
  5. Optional: Roll out and add cinnamon and sugar for cinnamon rolls.
