Walnut Brittle

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups honey
  • 1 cup ground black walnuts or other nuts

Instructions

  1. Cook honey and ground black walnuts together in a heavy saucepan until the mixture turns dark brown and gives a brittle test in cold water.
  2. Pour the hot mixture into a greased pan and let it cool slightly.
  3. Stir occasionally during cooling to prevent the nuts from settling at the bottom of the pan.
  4. When almost cool, cut into squares.
