Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, chopped walnuts, and beaten egg. Spread thinly on a greased jelly roll pan.
  2. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F for 18 to 20 minutes. Cool to room temperature and crush.
  3. Sprinkle half of the crushed mixture in the bottom of an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
  4. Combine vanilla pudding mix, sour cream, and milk; beat on low speed of an electric mixer for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Fold in sliced bananas.
  6. Spoon the banana mixture over the crumbs in the pan.
  7. Top with the remaining crushed crumbs.
  8. Chill for several hours.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
