- Cream butter and 2 tablespoons sugar; add egg yolks and mix. Add flour and combine.
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk.
- Add the yeast mixture to the dough and mix well with your hand.
- Cover the dough and put it in the refrigerator to refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, divide the dough into two portions and shape each into a ball.
- Meanwhile, beat egg whites until stiff, gradually adding 3/4 cup sugar.
- Chop walnut meats finely.
- Roll out each dough ball into a rectangle; spread with the beaten egg whites and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
- Roll up each rectangle like a jelly roll and place on a greased baking pan.
- Let the rolls rise for 2 hours.
- Bake at 325° to 350°F for about 25 minutes until golden.
