Walnut Honey Bread

- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Butter and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. In a large saucepan, heat milk and add honey and sugar, stirring until sugar is melted and homogeneous, then cool.
- Mix in butter and egg yolks.
- Sift together flour, salt and soda then mix in thoroughly.
- Stir in walnuts.
- Pour into pan and let stand 20 minutes.
- Bake about an hour or until knife comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes and turn out on rack to cool thoroughly. Wrap well and store.
- Better second day.
