Ingredients

  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 lb. sifted flour

Instructions

  1. Cream the margarine until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue beating until well combined and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add sifted flour to the batter, mixing gently.
  5. Stir in vanilla flavoring.
  6. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  7. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  8. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
  9. Allow the cake to cool for 4 minutes in the pan.
  10. Invert the pan to remove the cake and cool completely.
  11. Serve plain or frosted as desired.
