White Chili Chowder

Ingredients

  • green chilies
  • ground red pepper
  • oregano
  • ground cumin
  • garlic butter
  • shredded white cheddar cheese
  • onion
  • northern beans
  • chicken broth
  • beans
  • browns
  • chicken

Instructions

  1. Melt the garlic butter in soup pot.
  2. Add onions and saute until tender but not browned.
  3. Add chilies, cumin, oregano, ground red pepper, chicken broth and hash browns.
  4. Cook until potatoes are fork tender.
  5. Add beans and chicken.
  6. Stir and continue cooking over low heat for about 5 minutes.
  7. Gradually add half & half.
  8. Stir in cheese.
