Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 2/3 cups white sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 3/4 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl cream the margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in the crushed cookies, and coconut alternately with the milk. Stir in the applesauce.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the top springs back when lightly touched.
