Ingredients

  • greens
  • boiling water
  • few pieces of bacon
  • salt to taste
  • little pepper sauce

Instructions

  1. Wash the greens thoroughly.
  2. Remove the stems from the greens.
  3. Place the greens into boiling water and boil for about 30 minutes.
  4. Drain the water off, as the greens will be very strong.
  5. Add new water with a few pieces of bacon and some bacon drippings.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Simmer and cook slowly until the greens are tender.
