Ingredients

  • 2 c. Claret or Burgundy
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 bottle liquid fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Mix wine and sugar in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Place over rapidly boiling water, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and, at once, stir in liquid fruit pectin.
  4. Pour quickly into hot sterilized glasses.
  5. Skim, if necessary.
  6. Cover immediately with 1/2-inch hot paraffin.
