Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 pound Polish link sausage
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Wash the meat, salt, and dust with caraway seed.
  2. Place the meat fat side up in a roasting pan. You may score the fat in little squares if desired.
  3. Add a little water to the pan, cover, and roast in a 350°F oven.
  4. After about an hour, turn the meat and return it to the oven uncovered.
  5. Bake until the skin is red and the meat is tender, estimating about 30 minutes per pound.
  6. Baste frequently with the drippings from the pan during roasting.
