Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple in juice
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 (2 layer) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Dump the crushed pineapple and juice into a 9x11 or 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Add the cherry pie filling and spread it evenly over the pineapple.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the fruit layer.
  4. Top with chopped nuts and small pieces of butter evenly distributed over the top.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour or until the top is browned.
  6. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
