Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 3/4 c. melted chocolate
  • 1/2 cake yeast in 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 Tbsp. soda in 3 tsp. warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix first 8 ingredients in order; let stand overnight.
  2. In morning, add soda in warm water.
  3. Put in 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
  4. Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350°.
