- Cook yellow squash, chopped onion, and chopped celery in salted water until tender. Drain well.
- In a mixing bowl, add the beaten egg, heavy cream, grated cheese, salt, and pepper to the cooked vegetables and mix thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle with additional grated cheese on top.
- Bake slowly at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour until golden and bubbly.
