Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup hot roast beef drippings
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/4 cup hot roast beef drippings into an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish and keep hot.
  2. Beat 2 eggs until thick and fluffy.
  3. Add milk, sifted flour, and salt to the beaten eggs and beat with a rotary beater until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the hot beef drippings.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 30 to 40 minutes or until puffed and browned.
  6. Cut into squares and serve immediately with roast beef.
