- Cook until the carrots are barely tender, being careful not to overcook.
- Drain off the cooking liquid.
- Add brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, and salt.
- Heat the mixture until the sugar melts.
- Optional: add margarine if desired, but the dish is flavorful without it.
