Yummy Carrots

Sweet and tender carrots glazed with brown sugar and orange juice, subtly spiced with cinnamon. Perfect as a side dish for family dinners or holiday meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. carrots
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the carrots.
  2. Barely cover the carrots with water in a pot.
  3. Cook until the carrots are barely tender, being careful not to overcook.
  4. Drain off the cooking liquid.
  5. Add brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Heat the mixture until the sugar melts.
  7. Optional: add margarine if desired, but the dish is flavorful without it.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
