Ingredients

  • 1 qt. oil
  • 2 qt. vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. cayenne
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Wash dove breasts thoroughly.
  2. Prepare a marinade with oil, vinegar, salt, black pepper, cayenne, and garlic powder.
  3. Place dove breasts in a closed wire basket.
  4. Arrange the basket approximately 1 foot above white hot charcoal with all starter burned off.
  5. Sop the breasts frequently with the marinade to keep them moist.
  6. Cook until medium rare; do not overcook.
