Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 2/3 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Microwave the butter or oleo in an 8 x 12-inch glass baking dish until melted.
  2. Stir in the graham cracker crumbs and sugar until combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the dish to form a crust.
  4. In a bowl, stir together the coconut and sweetened condensed milk.
  5. Spoon the coconut mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
  6. Microwave the milk chocolate chips uncovered on medium (50% power) for 9 to 11 minutes, rotating the dish once, until melted.
  7. Stir the melted chocolate until smooth.
  8. Spoon the melted chocolate over the coconut layer and spread to cover.
  9. Refrigerate the bars to set for 1 hour.
  10. Cut into bars and serve.
