- Microwave the butter or oleo in an 8 x 12-inch glass baking dish until melted.
- Stir in the graham cracker crumbs and sugar until combined.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the dish to form a crust.
- In a bowl, stir together the coconut and sweetened condensed milk.
- Spoon the coconut mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
- Microwave the milk chocolate chips uncovered on medium (50% power) for 9 to 11 minutes, rotating the dish once, until melted.
- Stir the melted chocolate until smooth.
- Spoon the melted chocolate over the coconut layer and spread to cover.
- Refrigerate the bars to set for 1 hour.
- Cut into bars and serve.
