Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cucumber

Instructions

  1. Combine water and vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Add salad oil, salt, and pepper to the mixture.
  4. Peel the cucumber and score lengthwise with a fork.
  5. Slice the cucumber thinly.
  6. Peel the onion and slice it thinly into rings.
  7. Add the cucumber and onion slices into the vinegar mixture and mix lightly.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour and up to 24 hours before serving.
