Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pt. apple cider vinegar
  • 3 1/4 pt. water
  • 1/2 c. canning salt
  • dill sprig or 2 Tbsp. dill seed
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 small piece onion
  • 1 hot pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix apple cider vinegar, water, and canning salt and bring to a boil.
  2. Place dill sprig or dill seed, garlic, onion, and hot pepper in the bottom of a quart jar.
  3. Add cucumbers into the jar.
  4. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the cucumbers and seal the jar.
  5. Set the jar in the sun for 3 days to ferment.
