A colorful, layered dip featuring seasoned ground meat, creamy beans, cheeses, fresh vegetables, and optional jalapenos, perfect for parties and gatherings with bold flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground meat ⓘ
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning ⓘ
- 1/2 can refried beans ⓘ
- 8 oz. sour cream ⓘ
- 1 tomato, chopped ⓘ
- 2 avocados, mashed and seasoned with salt, pepper, lemon, dash of Tabasco
- 1 small can chopped black olives
- 1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. shredded Monterey Jack cheese ⓘ
- 1 small can chopped jalapenos (optional) ⓘ
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Brown the ground meat in a skillet.
- Drain thoroughly to remove excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning according to the package instructions and mix well.
- In a large clear glass casserole dish, layer the cooked meat mixture.
- Add a layer of refried beans on top of the meat layer.
- Spread sour cream evenly over the bean layer.
- Sprinkle chopped tomatoes, seasoned mashed avocados, chopped black olives, shredded Cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, chopped jalapenos (if using), and chopped green onions in layers as desired.
- Let the dip cool before serving.
