Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1/2 can refried beans
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 avocados, mashed and seasoned with salt, pepper, lemon, dash of Tabasco
  • 1 small can chopped black olives
  • 1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 small can chopped jalapenos (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground meat in a skillet.
  2. Drain thoroughly to remove excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning according to the package instructions and mix well.
  4. In a large clear glass casserole dish, layer the cooked meat mixture.
  5. Add a layer of refried beans on top of the meat layer.
  6. Spread sour cream evenly over the bean layer.
  7. Sprinkle chopped tomatoes, seasoned mashed avocados, chopped black olives, shredded Cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, chopped jalapenos (if using), and chopped green onions in layers as desired.
  8. Let the dip cool before serving.
