Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey or beef
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • small can tomato sauce
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 8 oz. medium egg noodles
  • 4 oz. sour cream
  • 8 oz. cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground turkey or beef until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the tomato sauce to the cooked meat and simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Thaw and drain the frozen chopped spinach.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, and milk until smooth.
  6. Layer half of the cooked noodles in a greased casserole dish.
  7. Spread half of the meat sauce over the noodles.
  8. Add half of the spinach, then pour half of the cheese mixture over this layer.
  9. Repeat the layering with the remaining noodles, meat sauce, spinach, and cheese mixture.
  10. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
