A Different Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. broken nuts (or more, if desired)
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 3 Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and cool.
  2. Mix flour and sugar.
  3. Then add milk and the eggs.
  4. Beat well and stir in the vinegar, vanilla and butter. Add nuts and mix thoroughly.
  5. Pour into pie shell.
  6. Place in a cold oven and bake at 300° for 1 hour.
  7. This makes a big pie.
  8. The recipe can be doubled and made into 3 smaller size pies.
  9. They freeze well.
