Tips & Substitutions

To enhance the flavor of Adirondack Beans, consider using ground turkey or chicken instead of hamburger for a lighter option. If you want to add a kick, diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce can be mixed in. For a vegetarian version, substitute the meat with mushrooms and increase the beans. Make sure to stir occasionally for even cooking and to prevent sticking.

Serving Suggestions

Adirondack Beans are hearty and can be served as a main dish or a side. They pair beautifully with cornbread or a fresh green salad. Try serving them alongside Baked Corn In Sour Cream for a delightful meal. You can also top them with shredded cheese or chopped green onions for added flavor and presentation.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To reheat, simply warm them on the stovetop over medium heat, stirring frequently, or microwave in short intervals, stirring in between, until heated through. If the beans seem dry, add a splash of water or broth.
