- Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
- Using a boning knife, carve the ribs from the roast and set aside.
- Rub the roast generously with soy sauce, curry powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place the roast on top of the ribs in a roasting pan.
- Bake the roast at 500°F for 30 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 300°F (150°C) and cook for 20 minutes per pound.
- Transfer the roast from the pan to a platter and let stand for 10 minutes before carving.
