Ingredients

  • 9 lb. standing rib roast
  • soy sauce
  • curry powder
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
  2. Using a boning knife, carve the ribs from the roast and set aside.
  3. Rub the roast generously with soy sauce, curry powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Place the roast on top of the ribs in a roasting pan.
  5. Bake the roast at 500°F for 30 minutes.
  6. Reduce oven temperature to 300°F (150°C) and cook for 20 minutes per pound.
  7. Transfer the roast from the pan to a platter and let stand for 10 minutes before carving.
