Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pound powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix together the cake mix, 1 egg, and butter until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch pan to form the crust.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix with cream cheese and powdered sugar to create the filling.
  4. Spread the filling evenly over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top if desired.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 25 minutes or until the filling is set and golden.
