Ingredients

  • 2 c. biscuit mix
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. half and half
  • 1 c. yellow corn meal
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Scald the half and half with butter until hot.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: biscuit mix, cornmeal, soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the hot cream and butter mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until blended.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown.
