Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix the yellow cake mix, butter, and 1 egg together until well combined.
  2. Spread the batter evenly in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely before applying the frosting.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 2 eggs until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled cake.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of the frosting.
