Ingredients

  • 1 large egg white
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, with an electric mixer at high speed, beat the egg white and salt until soft peaks form.
  3. Beat in the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is stiff and glossy.
  4. Stir in the chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips.
  5. Drop the mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls onto foil-covered cookie sheets.
  6. Place the cookies in the oven, close the door, and turn off the oven. Do not open the door.
  7. Leave the cookies in the oven overnight.
  8. Remove the cookies from the foil and store in airtight containers.
