Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. chopped almonds
  • 3 chocolate candy bars

Instructions

  1. Cook the butter, granulated sugar, and water until it reaches hard ball stage in cold water.
  2. Add the chopped almonds and continue cooking until it reaches the cracked candy stage at 300° on a candy thermometer.
  3. Melt the chocolate candy bars, pour them on top of the mixture, and sprinkle additional chopped almonds.
