Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix with pudding in the mix
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Amaretto
  • 3/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  2. Sprinkle slivered almonds on the bottom of the pan.
  3. Mix the chocolate cake ingredients until light and fluffy.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan over the almonds.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until tested done with a toothpick.
  6. Cool the cake and then invert onto a serving plate.
  7. Prick the top of the cake many times with a toothpick.
