Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 to 4 lb boneless pot roast
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 carrots, pared and sliced into 2 inch pieces
  • 3 potatoes, peeled
  • 2 small onions
  • 1 jar mushroom gravy
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Trim all fat from the roast, then brown and drain it.
  2. Combine 1/4 cup flour, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  3. Coat the meat with the flour mixture.
  4. Place all vegetables except mushrooms in a crock-pot and top with the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours.
  6. Add mushroom gravy and water to the crock-pot before serving.
