Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup Crisco oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and chill overnight.
  2. Roll balls of dough in sugar.
  3. Space the dough balls 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  4. Using a glass with a design on the bottom, press cookies down. Dip the glass in sugar to prevent sticking.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
