Ingredients

  • 18 slices toasted bread, cubed
  • 2 cups diced cooked potatoes
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 quart liquid (meat stock, milk, cream, or condensed milk)
  • 1 pint cooked chicken
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 3 cups chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine toasted bread cubes, cooked potatoes, chopped celery, chopped parsley, and chopped carrots.
  2. Add well-beaten eggs to the mixture.
  3. Pour in 1 quart of liquid, such as meat stock, milk, cream, or condensed milk, and stir well.
  4. Add at least 1 pint of cooked, diced chicken and toss lightly to combine.
