Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 envelope Dream Whip
  • 2 tablespoons nuts

Instructions

  1. Heat crushed pineapple, sugar, and water to boiling point.
  2. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to the boiling mixture.
  3. Cook until thickened.
  4. Add salt and cool the mixture.
  5. Beat egg whites until firm.
  6. Fold beaten egg whites into the cooled pineapple mixture.
  7. Pour the filling into a baked pie shell.
  8. Top with Dream Whip and sprinkle with nuts.
