Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. ketchup
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix (dry)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chuck, eggs, cracker crumbs, onion soup mix, and 1/2 to 3/4 cup ketchup.
  3. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan.
  5. Spread remaining ketchup on top of the loaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes or until cooked through and browned on top.
