Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 pound oleo
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • ground nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • egg whites
  • 1/2 box powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix oleo with flour until it resembles pie dough.
  2. Add egg yolks, sour cream, and vanilla; mix together.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 balls and refrigerate for 2 1/2 hours or overnight.
  4. Roll each dough ball like a pie in powdered sugar.
  5. Beat egg whites with 1/2 box powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  6. Spread the egg white mixture over each rolled dough and sprinkle with ground nuts.
  7. Cut each filled dough into 8 pie-like wedges with a pizza cutter.
  8. Roll the outside edges towards the center and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
