Ingredients

  • 4 cans potato soup
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) package bacon, fried and diced
  • 1 quart oysters, cut bite size
  • 1/2 cube butter
  • 1 1/2 cups dry white wine

Instructions

  1. In a 5-quart crock-pot, combine potato soup, evaporated milk, thawed and drained chopped spinach, and diced bacon.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Saute chopped onion and oysters for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the white wine to the skillet and cook for an additional few minutes.
  4. Pour the oyster mixture into the crock-pot. Cover and cook on low for 20 minutes.
  5. Allow the chowder to simmer for 1 hour or longer before serving.
