Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 1/2 c. sliced apples
  • 1 c. walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and stir in bread crumbs.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Combine sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Heat oven to 350°.
  5. Grease baking dish and cover the bottom with part of the apples.
  6. Sprinkle sugar mixture, then walnuts, and then bread crumbs.
  7. Repeat layers, ending with crumbs on top.
  8. Cover and bake for 1 hour.
  9. Remove cover for the last 15 minutes of baking.
