Ingredients

  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. walnuts
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. chopped apples

Instructions

  1. Combine egg, sugar, and oil in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour and cinnamon.
  3. Stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture until well combined.
  4. The batter will be very stiff.
  5. Add vanilla, chopped apples, and walnuts to the batter and mix well.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch cake pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes.
