Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • raisins (1 handful per apple)
  • brown sugar to taste
  • cinnamon to taste
  • nutmeg to taste
  • chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut off the top of each apple and save it as a lid.
  2. Carve out the core and a little bit of the inside of each apple with a spoon.
  3. Mix raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and chopped walnuts (if using) in a bowl.
  4. Fill the hollowed-out center of each apple with the raisin mixture.
  5. Place the tops back on each apple.
  6. Bake the apples in an ovenproof dish at 375°F (190°C) until the apples are tender and cooked through.
