Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 6 oz. frozen apple juice concentrate
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 cups apples, sliced
  • 1/3 cup walnuts (optional)
  • 1/3 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the frozen apple juice concentrate in a saucepan and add cornstarch, stirring constantly over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, walnuts (if using), and raisins (if using).
  3. Add the sliced apples and stir to combine.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into a prepared pie crust.
  5. Create a lattice top with additional pie crust strips and place on top of the filling.
  6. Place the pie on a hot cookie sheet to catch any drips.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55 minutes until golden and bubbly.
