Ingredients

  • 3 peeled sliced apples
  • 1 small can chunk pineapple
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 6 pats margarine

Instructions

  1. Make two 8 or 9-inch pie shells.
  2. Mix sliced apples, chunk pineapple, vanilla, sugar, cornstarch, and pats of margarine together.
  3. Pour the fruit mixture into the bottom pie shell.
  4. Top with pats of margarine.
  5. Cover with the second pie shell and seal the edges.
  6. Brush the top crust with egg whites.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 45 minutes until the crust is golden and done.
