Apple Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 c. Margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c. Nuts, minced (optional)
  • 1/2 c. Brown sugar (may use half honey, half brown sugar)
  • 1 x Egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. Whole wheat or possibly unbleached flour
  • 2 1/2 c. Apples, minced

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine baking soda, spices, salt and softened margarine; mix well, slowly adding the sugar.
  2. Add in egg and flour, blending thoroughly.
  3. Mix in apples.
  4. Pour into a buttered pan or possibly casserole; bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 min or possibly till the center is hard.
  5. Better if pecans or possibly walnuts are sprinkled over top before baking.
